Who We Are

The People

Today As in the Past,
the Spirit of Las Marías Lies in Its People

This verdant paradise is much more than a business dedicated to producing infusions. In 1924, when Víctor Navajas Centeno cultivated the first hectares, he had more than that in mind. Perhaps his major achievement was bringing about the birth of a very unique community. The people who work for this enterprise live in it as well.

Viviendas

Housing

The housing that our company’s founder built for workers within the establishment has developed into whole communities. These extend on lands donated by Las Marías to the nearby town of Virasoro.

Educación
Education

The tiny, one-room school that was started to educate the first children at Las Marías gave rise to the Victoria Jean Navajas Foundation. This is comprised of the Victoria Elementary School, at which more than
500 children study for absolutely free, as well as a secondary school and a job training center. These last two operate under the Víctor Navajas Centeno Agricultural Institute. All are outstanding models of education in Argentina—innovative and maintaining a high degree of excellence

Salud
Healthcare

What began as a first aid station and a weekly visit by a doctor has become a healthcare system that includes medical assistance, occupational healthcare and social services. These services reflect and implement the company’s social policies for workers, with an emphasis on family welfare and counseling.

Deportes
Sports

The old soccer field where the very first games were played has grown to become the most important sports club in the area, offering soccer, basketball, rugby, field hockey, volleyball, paddle ball, tennis and canoeing.
